Bridge repairs complete, access restored for Pearl Harbor Bike Path

O‘AHU – Repairs are complete, and public access restored, to a pedestrian bridge closed earlier this month along the Pearl Harbor Bike Path.

Closure of the bike path bridge, located south of Kapapapuhi Point Park and east of the City’s West Loch Golf Course, was required after several of the bridge’s metal grates rusted and detached from the accessway causing a safety hazard. The work to replace, weld/secure, and paint all of the metal grates was conducted by specialized park maintenance staff. These repairs were originally anticipated to be completed earlier this week, but tide levels restricted working conditions.

We greatly appreciate the patience and understanding of the public while this portion of the popular bicycle and pedestrian pathway was closed for safety reasons.
