presents the 29th Annual

Time to talk story at the 29th Annual Talk Story Festival this weekend


\The Department of Parks and Recreation is proud to host Hawai‘i's oldest storytelling event in Honolulu's busiest park. The entertaining and educational 29th Annual Talk Story Festival is this Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at McCoy Pavilion in Ala Moana Regional Park.

This year's theme is "Nā Mele o Hawaiʻi Nei" or "The Songs of Hawaiʻi." Please enjoy our seven, diverse storytellers as they share tales in the traditional Hawaiian manner.

They include: Roger Bong: Founder of the Aloha Got Soul record label

Ruben Carrillo: Filmmaker at 4 Miles, LLC production company

Dawn Kaniaupio: Producer for 4 Miles, LLC production company

Kimo Alama Keaulana: Renowned authority on Hawaiian music

Paige Okamura: DJ for KTUH

Kavet Omo: Hawaiian Hip Hop producer

Nick Yee: DJ for Hawaiʻi Public Radio
